Bob is a strong advocate of "shop Fallbrook first" and believes in a cooperative approach among the multiple non-profit organizations to improve the business and tourism climate in the "Avocado Capital of the World". He strongly believes that the Chamber of Commerce; in an unincorporated village, is the natural focal point for information about business, commerce, services, and Fallbrook activities. He is presently coordinating with various community service organizations to promote a bi-annual 1/2 day litter pick-up campaign to improve the appearance and habitability of the "Friendly Village", to be conducted in the spring and autumn of each year. Interested service groups and civic minded individuals are invited to contact Bob Hillery at 760-696-7482.
Bob also feels strongly that the Chamber of Commerce is a service organization to its members. However, to those members who might feel the chamber hasn't always provided the desired quality or quantity of member services, Bob challenges and encourages all members to get involved and become active in Chamber activities, join or start committees of interest, and/ or run for the Board of Directors. The Chamber of Commerce is an organization for the members, but members need to come forward and participate to help make the Chamber all it can be. Join, get involved, meet people, network, improve your business and make new long term friends of like minded business people. Working together we can make the Chamber of Commerce the leader in our community.
